2020-21 New Student Enrollment

  MANDARIN  |   SPANISH

We are happy to welcome you to our school district!

Due to the emergency school closures, Poway Unified School District has updated the new student enrollment process for the 2020-2021 school year. While schools are closed, the enrollment process will be completed electronically. There will be multiple steps to the enrollment process that are outlined below. Please read through them carefully. We understand this is a change from our normal process, and we hope to make this as easy as possible for all new families. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process together. We look forward to helping you prepare for the upcoming school year, and can't wait to meet our new students once schools reopen.

PLEASE NOTE: Your student’s enrollment ensures a seat at a school in Poway Unified. We make every effort to enroll your child at your neighborhood school. In some cases, classes at your neighborhood school may reach capacity, in which case we will work with you to place your child at a nearby school.

To welcome all new students and families, each school has created a welcome video. The videos can be found at the school site enrollment website after May 5th:

Under a new law known as SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016, exemptions based on personal/religious beliefs will no longer be an option for vaccines required for school entry in California.

Bus pass application notices are mailed to the parents of known eligible students in June to prepare for the upcoming school year. Applications are processed and bus passes are issued in time for school to start at the end of August. Visit the Transportation page for more information and bus passes
