Career Technical Education

College Resources

Career Technical Education gives students the chance to get a head start preparing for college and careers. Many CTE programs offer students the opportunity to earn college credit and meet University of California A-G requirements for admissions.  Career Technical Education uniquely prepares students for college and to select a college major through early career focused education.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and College Preparation:  PLTW students are better prepared for postsecondary education and are more likely to consider careers in STEM fields than their non-PLTW peers.  More than 100 college and university partners actively recruit PLTW students, providing them with opportunities such as admission preference, scholarships, and college credit.
