    Westview High School Student Named in Final Round of NMSC Scholarship Winners (Jul 20 2020)

    The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) released today approximately 650 more names in the fourth and final group of winners for the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Poway Unified School District is pleased to announce that a Westview High School student was named as part of this group.

    Third Group of Poway Unified Students Awarded NMSC Scholarships (Jul 20 2020)

    The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced over 3,300 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Nine Poway Unified students from across the District were named as part of this distinguished group.

    Three PUSD Campuses Open for Summer Learning and Enrichment (Jul 9 2020)

    This week, the Poway Unified School District reopened three school campuses to PUSD students, for in-person learning and enrichment programs, after months of emergency school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    PUSD Board Passes Anti-Racism Resolution (Jun 28 2020)

    At the June 25 board of education meeting, the Poway Unified trustees voted unanimously to approve a resolution showing Poway Unified School District’s commitment to fight racism and correct systemic inequity. Recent events both nationally and here locally have highlighted the need for our society to take a closer look at the racial and cultural inequities that people of color experience on a daily basis.

    PUSD Drive Thru Promotions and Graduations June 1-11 (May 31 2020)

    The Poway Unified School District would like to share its plans to celebrate our promoting 5th and 8th grade students as well as our graduating 12th grade students. Starting on Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 11, our 39 schools will be holding drive thru parades to honor students in a fun but socially distant way that complies with county health and safety regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
