VAPA VISION
VAPA Vision / WongAvery Global Languages for Elementary Schools
The new VAPA Vision program is an exciting initiative designed for K-5th grade students, integrating the five essential strands of Visual and Performing Arts: Media Arts, Dance, Theater, Music, and Visual Arts. This comprehensive program is staffed by highly qualified veteran classroom teachers who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their instruction. These educators work in close collaboration with district and community partners to ensure a rich, multifaceted arts education. By doing so, they not only nurture students' creative talents but also contribute to their overall academic and personal growth. The curriculum is designed to be inclusive and engaging, providing students with numerous opportunities to explore and develop their artistic abilities.
An outstanding feature of the VAPA Vision program is the provision of job-embedded collaboration time for classroom teachers. This allows educators to work together, share best practices, and continuously refine their teaching strategies, ensuring high-quality instruction across all five VAPA strands. Furthermore, the program includes exposure to Global Language and Culture, enriching students' understanding of diverse artistic traditions and perspectives. This holistic approach helps foster a well-rounded education, preparing students to thrive in a culturally diverse and interconnected world. The VAPA Vision program is a testament to the district's commitment to excellence in arts education and the holistic development of every student.
