The design for Willow Grove Elementary School is familiar to Poway Unified School District. This exemplary design has been the basis for three existing school. The District continues to refine and improve this design that features five classroom villages and an administrative building. The design capacity is for 700 students.

This 59,731-square-foot design includes classrooms for children in grades Kindergarten through 5, Extended Student Services, and preschool. Each classroom village includes a central common area for large or small group instruction and activities.
The administration building features a large multipurpose room, a 2,500-square-foot media center, and food services.
The classroom villages will be located on the southwest portion of the campus and will surround a central amphitheater. The hard court play areas will be to the northeast next to the play turf area.

The school will be located at the northwest corner of Via Azul and Via Inez in the City of San Diego.
