(San Diego, CA) – The Poway Unified School District (PUSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shannon Ramsinghani as the new principal of Tierra Bonita Elementary School, effective Monday, March 17, 2025. The appointment was unanimously approved by the Board of Education at their meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Dr. Ramsinghani brings over eighteen years of experience as a school administrator to her new role. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Principal at Design 39 Campus in PUSD, where she focused on enhancing academic programs, strengthening student engagement, and fostering a culture of belonging. Her extensive background includes serving as a 4th and 5th-grade teacher, as well as leadership roles in middle and high school settings. She also possesses expertise in curriculum development and a strong commitment to supporting diverse learners.
"Dr. Ramsinghani is a dedicated and visionary administrator who brings a strong commitment to student success and community engagement. Her school leadership experience make her an excellent fit for Tierra Bonita Elementary School, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will have on students, staff, and families," said Dr. Ben Churchill, District Superintendent.
Dr. Ramsinghani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a minor in Education from the University of California, Riverside. She earned a Master of Education in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Administration from Pepperdine University, where she also completed her Doctorate of Education in Administration, Leadership, and Policy.
