Earlier this month, the PUSD Board of Education hired a search firm and approved a tentative timeline for the new superintendent search process. An important part of the search is to engage staff, families, and community regarding what they would like to see in the next superintendent of the Poway Unified School District. The board welcomes input through this online survey, which will be open through August 31, 2024. Your input is very important to us and we hope you will be able to participate. The search firm will also conduct various in-person meetings with representative employee, student, and parent groups, during the month of August. Please refer to the following timeline for additional information on the search process and timeline.
Tentative Timeline:
- June 4: Board interviewed and selected McPherson & Jacobson as superintendent search firm
- June 13: Board provided input and direction to search firm
- June 20: Search firm posted superintendent position description
- Now – August 31: Online input survey open
- Aug 1 – August 31: Search firm meets with identified community groups
- August 31: Closing date for applications
- September 9: Board selects finalists to interview
- September 21-22: Finalist interviews with Board
- October 10: Board selects new superintendent
