Additionally, the Studio 701 Digital Media Internship was awarded an Honorable Mention Award. Studio 701 offers high school students an advanced digital media Career Technical Education capstone course and yearlong internship. Students use industry-standard tools and emerging technologies to create videos highlighting programs supporting the District’s mission. This internship enhances students' technical skills and knowledge with guidance of professional mentors in a deadline-driven setting. Post-internship, students often pursue film or broadcast majors, enter the industry, or apply their skills in other fields and studies.
Also at the event, three Poway Unified students: Yubelle Elaine Punzal, Theodore Yamada, and Josephine Park, were recognized as 2024 AVID High Tech Academic Scholars by the Classroom of the Future Foundation.
