PUSD is pleased to announce the outstanding achievements of our middle and high school students who have been accepted into the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Honor Ensembles. The students performed at the SCSBOA Professional Development Conference, January 26-28, 2024, in Garden Grove in front of an audience of band and orchestra educators and families. The SCSBOA Professional Development Conference is held annually in January as a learning opportunity for all members in conjunction with the SCSBOA All-Southern Honor Ensemble rehearsals and concerts.
Additionally, the following students have been accepted into the California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) Honor Ensembles; they will perform at the CASMEC State Music Conference in Sacramento February 2-4, 2024. The Rancho Bernardo High School Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Zachary Christy, will also present a featured concert performance at the conference (the only high school invited to do so.)
