A panel of first responders, including local law enforcement and fire fighters, is being convened to share safety and security recommendations and updates, discuss safety trends in the North County, and answer questions from in-person attendees.
The panel will be moderated by Greg Mizel, Associate Superintendent of Student Support Services. Any PUSD staff, students, families, or community members are invited to attend. Guest panelists include:
- Tim Ware, San Diego County Office of Education, Student Safety Coordinator
- David Valdez, San Diego Police Department Officer
- Marshall Abbott, San Diego County Sheriff
- Jeff Chumbley, Poway Fire Department Fire Chief
The event will be hosted in-person in the District Office community room as well as live streamed and recorded for those who cannot attend in person. The live stream and recording will be available on the PUSD Board of Education YouTube channel and can be accessed by clicking here.
