Weare happy to announce that our AVID program is currently taking applicationsfor the 2023-2024 school year.

AVID,which stands for Advancement via Individual Determination, is a yearlongelective class offered to students who would like to prepare themselves for thehonors and AP track in high school. Students will also be a part of an AVIDBobcat where they will receive more individualized attention. The curriculumfeatures writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading lessons,focused note-taking, team building, and university and professional careerresearch. Trained college tutors are in the classroom twice a week to supportstudent learning. We typically go on two field trips to local universities tohelp create a college-going culture. Enrollment in this program is limited andstudents must fill out the application linked below. 

Formore information, we will be holding an AVID open house for new 6th and 7thgrade families Wednesday, February 8 @ 6:00pm. 

6thand 7th grade applications are due by Wednesday, February 15th.
