PREVIOUS LCAP YEARS:

PUSD 2022 LCAP Survey Results

From February 3 through February 17,  2022, PUSD conducted our annual survey to gather stakeholder input on our Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP, which will help shape the District’s goals and guide our budgeting priorities for 2022-2023. We heard from nearly 4,500 parents, students, staff, and community members!
We asked: “What are the most important things that we need to focus on in order to make progress towards meeting our three LCAP goals?”

Goal 1: Create safe, positive and healthy learning environments that demonstrate value for the individual and advance each and every student toward their greatest potential.

Goal 2: Increase student achievement and learning pathways to prepare students to thrive in college, career and life.

Goal 3: Increase engagement of parents, business, and community partners to deliver personalized, rich, and rigorous learning experiences.

PUSD's LCAP Survey Process

To make it as easy and convenient as possible to participate every year, Poway Unified uses an online tool called Thoughtexchange that participants can access right from their smartphone or computer. Responses are confidential, and you can respond with as few or as many different thoughts as you like. After sharing your own thoughts, you are asked to consider and assign stars to the ideas shared by others, to discover what’s most important to our community.

Thoughtexchange is essentially a virtual conversation, where you can share your thoughts, see the thoughts of others in your school community, and prioritize the thoughts most important to you. For the answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Thoughtexchange, go here for FAQs.

Thank you for your participation and partnership.

The Poway Unified School District has a long and proud tradition of engaging stakeholders to ensure student success. To increase the depth and breadth of stakeholder voice, this year we will be using multiple formats to gathers input around these five critical questions.
