  •   Flashback Party for Parents

    This year, we’ve had questions as to why the Foundation lowered the direct ask from $250 to $100 and the reason why is, we want to see YOU at the Flashback Party at Madero’s on Sunday, November 10. The following day is a holiday, so come celebrate and enjoy having the next day off! 
     There will be free food, select free drinks, and tickets are at a bargain of $75 for one person or $125 for two people. Not only are food and drinks (select alcohol and non-alcohol) included, you’ll also receive a free raffle ticket that night to add to one of our many amazing items.  You can pay by credit card or PayPal on
    or you can do cash or check payable to Sunset Hills Foundation to the office. Make sure to notate who the tickets are for. Can’t wait to PARTY WITH YOU!!

  •   Mindful Minute

    Parent Communications: Mindful Moment 2019-20
    Dear Sunset Hills Families,
    During the 2018-19 school wide Thoughtexchange survey, you offered many ideas on how to best support our students. One of the concerns raised was our students’ social-emotional learning and mental health wellness. Many of you pointed out the need to help students reduce their stress and anxiety, and to help students deal with academic and social pressures.

    One way we are doing this is by implementing a “Mindful Moment” each day at all PUSD schools, starting this school year. At Sunset Hills we are calling this the practice the “ mindful minute.” ...

    ~These parent workshops offer inspiring and workable ideas for developing a trusting relationship with children, as well as the skills to implement the necessary discipline to help your child become a responsible, capable and resilient adult.  ~Based on the best-selling book, Raising Self-Reliant Children in a Self-Indulgent World, bestselling authors H. Stephen Glenn and Jane Nelsen have helped hundreds of thousands of parents raise capable, independent children with these research-based strategies.

    ~Please mark your calendar to attend one or all of these learning opportunities. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP on the Google Form HERE weekly.

    Spirit Wear is available to purchase on the link below.  Friday is now the official day to wear your seagull gear. 

  •   Blue Envelope Campaign

    Thank you to all who have donated and turned in their blue envelopes. We currently have raised $12,195 and have a three way tie for first place with Mr Cook, Mrs Gavigan, and Mr A's classes all coming in at 40% class participation. You have until October 18 to get those donations in! Make sure to double check if your company matches too. Thank you for your continued support!
