Principal's Message

Sidia Martinez, Principal

Welcome back!

Dear Midland Families,
On behalf of the NEU Midland Elementary school community, a congratulations is in order for our staff and students!  Midland Elementary was chosen by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) as a 2016 Honor Roll Recipient!

Poway Unified School District recognized Midland Elementary in April of this year.  The California Honor Roll is part of a national effort known for its extensive and rigorous analysis of student achievement in public schools. Midland Elementary was chosen as a school with factors for other schools to emulate for demonstrating consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and a reduction in academic achievement gaps.

This year has been noteworthy of various achievements and we thank our students and staff for the hard work they put forth here at NEU Midland Elementary.  It truly is a great honor to have been chosen and we will be featured on the California Honor Roll website.  We will also proudly display the banner made just for us in honor of the celebration.

I have witnessed firsthand how well our community comes together to make NEU Midland Elementary a great place to learn with “No Excuses!”.  It truly takes a village to make it all happen.  From all of our staff here at Midland, we thank you, our families, for working with us on improving education for all our students by sharing our success.

Congratulations, Midland Rattlers!

Sincerely,
Sidia Martinez, NEU
