  •   Congratulations Class of 2020!

Westview is extremely proud of the perseverance, creativity and positive spirit of your class! While it has been a couple of weeks since your last days as Wolverines, the celebration continues. We have a gift to share with you. Please check out our Graduation 2020 Commemorative Video:  A Graduation Like No Other! You can enjoy hearing from your senior class speakers and performers. Included in the video are words of wisdom from administration, community members, and teachers. Although it is a rather large file, it is downloadable. This video is not to take the place of any potential ceremony at the end of July; rather stands as a memory video of this unprecedented time. Thank you to Westview Broadcast Journalism/ News Cast teacher, Rob Casas for creating this video.

Thank you for completing  the Graduation Ceremony survey that will be sent to your email  on Tuesday,  June 30th.

  •   SD Girls Coding Camp

SD Girls Coding Camp (SDGCC) is a FREE camp for students between the ages of 12 and 17 in San Diego held virtually during 10:00am-1:00pm August 10th-14th, 2020. This year will be our 6th annual session. The camp is sponsored by the Women in Computer Science Club (WICS) at Westview High School and is taught mainly by current Computer Science major college students. High school students from WICS volunteer their time as well in order to create a relaxed environment in which every student's question can be answered. The camp has traditionally focused on girls, however, moving forward, we have decided to focus on all underrepresented people in tech. This includes people who identify as Women, Black, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and Native American. We are in the process of updating our name to reflect our new focus but do not expect to finalize it until after camp this year.

Due to Covid-19, we will be going virtual for 2020! This means we will have limited spots as we will need to keep a low volunteer to student ratio. We expect to be able to have 30 students total participate this year and have 2 ways to register.

    1. Have the student fill out this application to possibly be selected for early registration. If selected, this will guarantee a spot in the camp. This application closes at 5:00pm PST July 12th.
    OR
     2. Participate in first come first serve signups beginning on July 15th at 12:00pm on our website.
