PARKING PERMIT PROCEDURES

Permits only issued Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. from 7:00-7:20am & Wed. 8:10-8:40am

Seniors and Juniors applying for parking permits need to complete the two hour Start Smart class with a parent, view PowerPoint and take Parking Permit test, complete the Parking Permit Application and bring the listed documentation to your registration or to the Security Office. The Security Office will process parking applications Monday - Friday 7:00am to 7:20am. Students must bring the hard copies of all documents (No electronic copies are accepted).

  1. Both student and parent must attend Start-Smart Class through San Diego Sheriff Department (click here) or California Highway Patrol (click here). Classes are available throughout PUSD so check other school websites for class schedules.  Bring your Smart Start Certificate to register.  If you don't have the certificate bring the date and location of the class you attended so that staff can verify your attendance (note: not having the certificate may delay the issuance of your permit). 

  2. View Power Point and take the Parking Permit Test Seniors and Juniors who will be driving to school must view this parking presentation and take and pass the required test. Bring the completed test signed by both the student and the parent. Parking permits will ONLY be issued to students who receive a 100% on the test.

  3. Parking Permit Registration Application Must be completed and signed by both the student and parent.

  4. Valid Driver's License

  5. Valid insurance for the vehicle you are driving

  6. Valid registration for the vehicle you are driving

  7. Current RBHS student ID card
