Principal's Message

Principal's Message for 2016-2017

Welcome to a new year at Sundance Elementary.  We are excited to begin the 2016-2017 school year.  While looking forward, I want to highlight how last year ended.  We were planting native plants to help restore the monarch butterfly, being taught the solar system from third graders, being educated by 5th graders speaking as characters from the colonial era, and seeing our older students teaching their younger peers.  We ran thousands of miles and exercised up a storm.  We did art projects, played instruments, sang songs, danced, played chess, Skyped with authors, and had so much fun while learning a lot at the same time.  Our state test scores were good as well, and we even grew more than the district average!  This year we look forward to creating a new science lab!  Your support of our Jog-A-Thon in October will go a long way in making our science lab a reality.
We are an amazing school because of the support of all of you!  Together, we can make this year the best ever.  Here’s to another fantastic year at Sundance!
Warm Regards,
Bob Rodrigo, Principal
