Greetings Del Sur Explorers!
Please note that on Friday May 26th, school will dismiss at 12:15pm for our Professional Growth minimum day.
I hope all of you are able to attend our incredible Heritage Night coming this Friday, May 19 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Plan on joining us to celebrate our multi-cultural community with over 23 Country booths, Multi-Cultural Arts and Crafts, Performances, and our International Food Court. We are still in need of volunteers. One can sign up at http://signup.com/go/zrAgICf.
Attention all Science Fair participants, plan on bringing your completed Science Fair board to school next Thursday, May 25th before school. Please check your project in at the table located in the lobby. Your child will then be instructed on where to place their project. Science Fair projects will be displayed all day on Thursday, May 25th with an evening open house available from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Thank you parents of our third, fourth, and fifth grade students for helping your child perform at their optimum level on this year’s SBAC assessments.
This is our last week of SBAC testing. This week students will be tested on a mathematical performance task at each of the respective grade levels. Thank you for your help in preparing your child to perform at their optimum best by getting them to bed early and providing them a nutritious breakfast before the day of their test.
We are in need of two Noon Duty Supervisors for the 2017-2018 school year. If you are interested in helping us out from 10:00 to 1:30 pm Monday through Friday, please contact Lisa Wilken at lwilken@powayusd.com
See You on Campus,

Doug Johnson
